About	Driving School of the Southwest was the first licensed Driver Education School in Amarillo. Founded in 1984 by Scot Wilson, Driving School in the Southwest is committed to teaching teens and adults safe driving habits. Their friendly customer service staff will work with you to schedule behind-the-wheel training and DMV road test with their licensed and trained instructors at times that work within your busy schedule. Behind-the-wheel lessons are scheduled separately from the classroom. For students who are over 18, they offer the 6-hour permit class for $100 and private driving lessons for $45 per lesson.
