| About | Dr. Fernando de Castro received his medical degree from Kansas City University, Missouri. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He did residency training in dermatology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Fernando de Castro finished a fellowship in immunodermatology and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Mayo Clinic. He is accredited by the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Dermatopathology and the Clinical and Laboratory Dermatological Immunology Board of America. He joined DAK in 1995 and is the director of DAK's Dermatopathology Reference Laboratory and the DAK Ambulatory Surgery Center's medical director. He received the most advanced medical training to diagnose and treat disorders of the skin, nails, and hair for patients of all ages. Dr. Fernando de Castro is the former Head of Dermatology at St. Joseph Hospital and now works at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine's Volunteer Faculty. |
