About	St. Joseph Cathedral is a magnificent Catholic Parish in downtown San Diego. The new brick church was completed and dedicated in 1894. It is a spacious and imposing structure. The parish was established in 1874, and the first sanctuary was a building under the leadership of Father Antonio at Third and Beech constructed in 1875. The church offers its visitors from outside of San Diego a special welcome, and all are welcome here in the spirit of St. Joseph. The cathedral renovation and restoration began in 2011. They are honored that you have chosen to join them here in Downtown San Diego to worship and serve. St. Joseph Cathedral also hosts San Diego Chamber Orchestra performances and other classical groups.
