About	Smith's Bakeries was founded in Bakersfield by Howard Smith and Roy Balmain. They aim to provide the best possible cakes for the city. Over the years, Smith's Bakeries has developed to various locations. Jim Balmain, who has been at Smith's for over 50 years, and his wife Jacque bought the cake shop in 1985 from Howard and Roy and have proceeded to operate the cake shop with the same goals and energies of its originators. They are specialized in making special occasion cakes and provides the best possible baked goods for the community. It is a perfect place to buy delicious cakes for all events.
