Amaranth opened in 2006 and is operated by David Boucher and his wife, Stephanie Shipley, who does all the baking. Their goal is to create a warm, welcoming gathering space where neighborhood folks could congregate to relax, work, and visit. Along with their locally roasted organic coffees, fine tea assortment, and espresso drinks, they also offer from-scratch, artisan bread, pastries, tarts, cookies, soups, salads, quiche, and a limited sandwich menu.
