About	Rao's Bakery is a long-running bakery serving pastries, sandwiches, Gelato & more. It was founded in 1941 by Johnny Rao. Johnny Rao and his family started the bakery at its present location. Rao's bakery is well-known for its delicious Italian cream cakes, pastries, cookies, and cream puffs. It was one of the first patisseries in Texas to provide Gelato. Through the years, Rao's had several partners, but its gates never closed. They are focused on developing a second bakeshop located at Dowlen Road in Beaumont. Their team offers such unique experiences to its customers throughout the years. During Mardi Gras, you will always find a King Cake ready for purchase in all of the branches. Rao's Bakery has been delivering smiles to Texas for over 70 years.
