About | Tudor House is a modest, perfectly formed independent museum, set in a fine example of a close-studded timber-framed building with the only remaining original embossed ceiling in Worcester. The house is entirely run by the volunteers, who stepped in to manage the museum when it was challenged with closure. Tudor House has been a home and a workshop for weaver clothiers, carpenters, a baker and a 17th-century solicitor’s widow, to name just a few. Visitors can discover the 16th-century bedroom, 17th Century tavern and refresh themselves in the charming coffee shop inspired by the work of Richard Cadbury here. Tudor House brings alive the forgotten legends of the history of Worcester. The house is perfect for a family visit with dressing up and games for children to play throughout the year. |
