| About | Five Sisters Zoo was opened to the public in 2005. At the time of opening, it holds a small collection of rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, and pigs. Since then, it has developed into an impressive array of over 165 different species worldwide, including rodents, birds and reptiles. The volunteers have maintained high levels of animal care and health. Visitors have plenty to see and do. They can take part in one of the three regular handling sessions, feed the lemurs if you want to get up close. The zoo has Big reptile indoor house with more than 40 species and a petting area. The Regular keeper has conversations that coincide with several animals' feeding times. It has many new places, including bird aviary walking, wallaby and the meerkats/cranes and a giant tortoise wide enclosure. Children aged under 3 can enjoy the zoo free of charge. |
