About	Saddleworth Museum is an independent museum in Oldham, Uk. It is housed in the remains of the old Victoria Mill. Working inside the museum was initiated by volunteers after the restoration needed to make the building safe and stable, who wanted to conserve for the future and show, where possible, the artefacts of an already evolving society. It was expanded in 1980, and a community gallery was added for art exhibits. It has 16000items in the collections, 11000 items in the archives, and 12500 images of old Saddleworth. Saddleworth Museum aims to further develop their education for internal and external workshops in school programmes and typically provide family art sessions. It also offers a range of locally handcrafted items, many with a Saddleworth theme.
