About | The Abington Park Museum is a magnificent Grade I building located on the Abington Park grounds. Initially, the museum was a manor house built at the turn of the 16th century. The building is home to Shakespeare's granddaughter. It has Military and Northamptonshire Regiment collections, social history, natural science, Egyptology, costume, 5000 military history objects, 35,000 geological specimens, and 5000 leather items. With more than 12,000 shoes ranging from Egyptian boots to modern British fashion, documentary footage and art history are in the museum's collections. It is suitable for hosting a selection of brass bands, concert bands, folk or jazz music. It also has two lakes and a model boating lake which are connected by a stream. |
