About	'Leicester Museum and Art Gallery' is a museum opened to the public in 1849. Permanent exhibits of the museum consist of Dinosaurs, an Egyptian field, Leicestershire minerals, the first local Charnia fossil discovered, and wild space. A display area that varies regularly on the first floor of the museum. The Egyptology section has been expanded by covering life in Egypt in more detail, and also a team focusing on death in Egypt, where the four mummies are housed. The objects were mostly from Europeans visiting Egypt. Leicester Museum and Art Gallery holds a collection of over 400 artefacts from the Ancient Egyptian period but was only able to view about a third of them.
