| About | Harrogate Borough Council operates the Royal Pump Room Museum. It was extensively renovated between 1985 and 1987. The majority of the museum describes Harrogate's history as a spa and as a place for rest and healing. There are now nearly 20,000 objects in the council-owned collection. The Royal Pump Room Museum provides a daily programme of special exhibits. Visitors can make use of the exhibition held by the core council and loaned objects and offers seminars on topics such as Egyptology, toys over time, and local history. The museum offers free admission for children age under five. |
