About	National Slate Museum is the place to explore the first quarry workshops of the 19th century. It is the workshops that served the needs of the quarry, and its locomotives were built in 1870. In 1969, the quarry closed and the venue began as the North Wales Quarrying Museum on 25 May 1972. National Slate Museum is the largest working water wheel in Britain that can be accessed through many footpaths. The museum provides salads and home-made cookies, snacks and hot dinners. Visitors can enjoy the tour of the museum with free admission.
