About | The Museum of Making is also known as Derby Industrial Museum. It is located in the former site of Lombe's Mill. The Museum of Making is formerly known as Derby Silk Mill tells. It has a 300-year history of making to inspire new creativity. The Mill is widely known as the world’s first factory site. After the £17 million redevelopment scheme, it was reopened under the new name of the Museum of Making on 21 May 2021. The museum is modern and bright, with a chance to interact with displays. The Museum of Making has plenty of hands-on things for kids. The Cafe had a great menu, and the food and drinks were tasty and well priced. |
