About	The Essex Police Museum was set up as a charity in 1992. It describes the history of the Essex police from 1840 to the present day. The museum is preserving its history and making it enjoyable to learn and explore for all ages. The Essex Police Museum provides an activity for children and plenty of interactive shows. The museum aims to protect the heritage of the Essex Police, increase public education, raise awareness of the past of their police force by collecting, preserving, and displaying information relevant to the history of the Essex Police. It holds more than 25,000 items in the collection of artefacts, photos, and paper documents. It also has children's activity running and lots of interactive displays. The Essex Police Museum offers free admission and parking.
