About | Wokingham Town Hall is a historic grade ll listed building. The original building on the site was a medieval guildhall completed in 1612. The new building, designed by William Ford Poulton and William Henry Woodman in the Gothic style, was officially opened by Lord Braybrooke in 1860. It comprises twenty-five councillors who represent the eight wards of the town. There are a variety of rooms available in the Victorian Town Hall, and there is access by lift to the first floor. The town hall features 25 seated round tables in the REME room, 120 seated or 140 standing in Main hall, 30 seated round tables in Diamond Jubilee Room, Kitchen including 100 place settings. Free WiFi is available to users of the Main Hall, Annexe and Council Chamber. |
