AboutEllenroad Engine House is the world's largest working steam mill engine located in Rochdale, UK. It is home to one of only three scheduled historical monuments in Rochdale. The house is managed and operated by The Ellenroad Trust Ltd. The Ellenroad Trust Ltd was established in 1985 to assure the preservation of the Ellenroad Engine House and Engines. Ellenroad Engine House has 99,756 mule spindles, drawing frames and carding machines made by Platts of Oldham. It provides a picnic area with seating for your comfort, light refreshments also available in the house and also offers free admission and provide parking.
