| About | Crewe War Memorial is a sculptor unveiled in 1924. The sculptor is consists of a Britannia bronze figure standing on a pedestal, on a square base. The figure is about 2.7 metres high, and the pedestal is about 3.3 metres in height. It was constructed to memorialise people who died in World war one and two. Initially, it was placed in Market Square, and in 2006 November moved to Municipal Square. The sculptor was listed in the Grade II building. With a stunning figure of Britannia, the sculpture is well constructed and has a prominent place. It uses high-quality materials and craftsmanship. |
