| About | Christ Church is one of the most spiritual churches in Wirral. The church is a united reformed church founded by William Hesketh Lever and opened on Wednesday 8th June 1904. Their communion services are generally held off the first morning and third-afternoon services each month. Christ Church was originally a congregational church, and when the Congregational and Presbyterian denominations united in 1972. Their minister, Reverend Ian Smith (pictured), leads many of the services. occasionally visiting Ministers, Lay Preachers, or other church members may lead worship. They use the ‘New International Version Bible and ‘Rejoice and Sing’ hymn book, which comprises a compilation of hymns chosen by the URC. Christ Church finds themselves welcoming visitors who have joined them in worship. |
