About	Derby Cathedral is one of the oldest cathedral churches that serves as a home for a vibrant Christian community. It is a Grade I listed building designed and constructed in Gothic, Neoclassical style architecture. The cathedral church was rebuilt in 1725, designed by James Gibbs. It also serves as an excellent venue for many exciting and innovative events. Derby Cathedral has been a place of worship for more than a thousand years. The present cathedral building has rich historical roots that date back nearly three hundred years with an older tower. They aim to develop strong relationships with all its stakeholders to become a place for inspirational music and worship, learning, heritage stories, arts and culture. The bells are rung regularly for cathedral services, secular events of local and national significance. Derby Cathedral also offers regular corporate prayer and worship.
