About	Former Ford Factory is located in Bukit Batok. It is the site where British forces under Lieutenant-General Arthur Percival surrendered to Japanese forces. It is the national monument of Singapore managed by Ford Motor Company of Malaya. The Old Ford Motor Factory was officially recognised as a National Monument in 2006 and turned into an Old Ford Factory exhibition gallery and archive called Memories. The Ford Factory displays provide a good overview of what happened in Singapore during WW2 and how easily the Gibraltar of the East fell to the Japanese. The permanent exhibits of the factory show life in Singapore under Japanese rule. It is also an audio visual theatre that has a seating capacity for 76 people.
