About	Pei Chun Public School was founded in 1933 by a group of Hainanese to provide education to the children of the Chinese working class. It became a government-aided school in 1956. Pei Chun Public School has an enrolment of about 2200 pupils housed in two sessions, with Primary 3 to Primary 6 in the morning session and Primary 1 and Primary 2 in the afternoon session. The school has remained true to its mission to nurture responsible citizens who contribute to society. The English language department in Pei Chun Public School is dedicated to developing their students to be confident and competent communicators through well-established, learner-centred and developmentally appropriate pedagogical approaches using authentic children’s literature.
