About	Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS) is the first-ever cultural heritage integrated hub in Singapore. It is a welcoming place to solicit ideas from the various communities to co-create Geylang Serai into a vibrant cultural hub in Singapore. Within WGS, there are public spaces, a community plaza and a comprehensive pedestrian network that will improve accessibility and connectivity to other developments, bringing a wide range of facilities and services. This development is a collaboration between the People’s Association, Ministry of Health, National Arts Council, Ministry of Social and Family Development, National Heritage Board and Ministry of National Development. Geylang Serai was the basis of the Malay Settlement back in pre-modern Singapore. One green feature of WGS is its emphasis on natural ventilation in public spaces. The civic centre also includes elements of the former Malay Village’s architectural elements in the architectural/interior design of the building.
