| About | Poo Thor Jee is the oldest Buddhist temple located in Tanjong Pagar. This temple was founded in 1911. This Buddhist temple is set in a tranquil and isolated environment, allowing devotees and visitors to pray and meditate in peace. Over the years, the temple faced various rebuilding and renovations; the current site was built in 1968 and was opened by the prime minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Poo Thor Jee was added to the library and arts culture centre in 1995. The visitors and devotees who have visited this temple have reviewed it to be a place to find inner peace. Poo Thor Jee has a mix of Taoist and Buddhist deities statues. |
