About	Shanghumugham The beach is on the western side of Thiruvananthapuram and is very near to Trivandrum International Airport, & the closest railway station is Thiruvananthapuram Central at a distance of 9 kilometres. Its beautiful mermaid structure is called Sagarakanyaka by the locally renowned artist Kanai Kunjiraman.
