About	Golghar is a vast granary located next to the river Ganga. It was designed to be only the first in a series of large grain stores. However, in the end, no others were ever created. Instead, it was a beehive-shaped structure designed by core captain John Garstin, a Bengal engineer. Visitors can go to the top of the Golghar through the 145 steps of its spiral stairway around it. From the top of the Golghar, you can get a fantastic panoramic view of the city and the Ganges. Golghar offers free entry for visitors.
