| About | The Jhansi Fort is situated at the top of Bagirain Uttar Pradesh in the northern part of India. The fort is an architectural monument from the 17th century. It was undergone massive destruction in the First War of Independence against the British East India Company. Visitors can see the creative architecture, Kal Kothari or a dungeon for prisoners, temples, and museums. The Jhansi Fort also has a war memorial which was built as a tribute to martyrs. Nearby the fort, Rani Lakshmibai Park built in the memory of her poignant role in the freedom struggle. |
