| About | Sanjay Gandhi National Park is one of the best six national parks in Mumbai, and it was started in 1969 at Borivali headquarters. It covers 104 sq km and is mainly divided into three sub-areas: a buffer, a tourist, and a core area. It has 800 varieties of flowering plants, 284 types of birds, 5,000 types of insects, 36 species of mammals, 50 kinds of reptiles, and 150 species of butterfly. This flourishing green has huge geographic, historical, ecological and imaginative significance. The SGNP Kanheri Caves is a 2000-year-old Buddhist cave complex, and the park has the Van Rani toy train facility is one of the oldest attractions. This park has the attractiveness of Rich flowers and Animalia, scenic surroundings. Every year Sanjay Gandhi National park attracts over 2 million population. he popular Jain Temple is situated in the park. There are several public walking trails in the national park. The park's entrance is on Western Express Highway (NH 8) passes. |
