| About | Dr Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum is one of the oldest museums in Mumbai. The museum was established in 1855 by Lord Elphinstone. The museum won the 2005 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Excellence in Conservation. Dr Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum is situated in the vicinity of Byculla Zoo, Byculla East. It is the first museum in Mumbai showcasing the city's cultural heritage with artistic & decorative artefacts. Dr Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum's shop supports traditional craftsmen and NGOs and holds a unique selection of gifts, many of which have been inspired by the Museum collection. The museum cafe has a wide selection of speciality teas, coffees, snacks, and cold beverages. It also offers a Wi-Fi facility. MCGM employees (with valid ID cards), MCGM school children, NGOs, visitors with disabilities can enjoy the free entry. |
