The institute was begun as a private Medical college in 1955 by Mysore Education Society. In 1957 it was given over to the then Government of Mysore and affiliated to Mysore University and then to the Bangalore Univ. BMCRI contains state of the art seminar hall that has been constructed with 280 seats with the facilities of the latest equipment for Tele-teaching. The institute has MCI recognition for Undergraduate 150 seats, +100 seats admitted under 10A of MCI rules, 135 Postgraduate Masters Degree, 71 Diploma seats. In addition, emergency service is also available for 24 hours, including Traumatology and Blood bank. They have associated with four major hospitals, including Victoria Hospital, Vani Vilas Women and Children’s Hospital, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital, Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital. |
