| About | Asutosh College is a pioneer institute of education in West Bengal, and this was the first college in the state accredited by NAAC in 2002. All departments have their libraries and well-organized laboratories for science departments. Asutosh College is the only college in South Kolkata which has hostel facilities. Asutosh College has a tent and ground at Kolkata Maidan. Their football, cricket and rowing teams have won awards at various tournaments and competitions. Asutosh College has the Asutosh Memorial Hall, housed in the main building, for numerous cultural and academic functions. There is also a Gymnasium in the Annexe Building. The hall is equipped with high-end audio and lighting equipment with its balcony can accommodate one thousand viewers at a time. Asutosh College has a well-stocked library with more than 90,000 volumes and reading room facilities. Their Reading Room in annexed in Annexe Building can accommodate more than a hundred readers at a time. |
