About	Mount Royal Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted of Central Park fame. It is a magnificent urban green space featuring 200 hectares of astonishing biodiversity and natural beauty. The sizable green space is featuring paths, a lake with boat rentals and fascinating city panoramas. The urban wildlife is abundant and active all year round in a host of recreational pursuits. The park has forests made up of some 60 species of trees and more than 250 plant species, some 20 species of mammals and almost 200 species of birds. The park boasts a vast network of walking trails and stairs that will take you to various landscapes and wooded areas. Mount Royal Park is the best place for jogging, skating, skiing, cycling, boating, and tobogganing. The park attracts four million people each year to participate in outdoor and cultural activities.
