AboutAssiniboine Park Zoo is one of Winnipeg's most cherished community assets. The zoo is known for its polar bear exhibit. It provides tourists with the opportunity to meet animal species from all parts of the world, including Amur tigers, camels, snow leopards, and more. With over 80 park-like acres to discover, the zoo has been a popular attraction for children, visitors, school classes, and animal lovers. By 1998, the zoo has 77 different mammal species, 151 different birds, and 14 reptiles. Assiniboine Park Zoo also provides high-quality educational programs and diverse recreational opportunities. It also hosted more than 100 public and private events. Tourists can explore a range of naturalistic habitats and animal viewing areas with interpretive signs and immersive exhibits allowing visitors to learn about biodiversity. Assiniboine Park Zoo offers free admission for Children 2 and under.
