AboutThe Oshawa Zoo opened its gates on 29 July 1993. Its goal was to provide a healthy, green, interactive mixture of exotic and domestic friendly animals. The zoo has a laid-back place with fenced areas where visitors can pet & feed goats, camels, and 40+ other species. It has friendly and tame birds and wildlife of over 40 species and has 22 Acres fenced, a field for picnics. It also has a kiosk for refreshments and animal feed. In addition, children and animals could interact with each other through feeding and petting fences. The Oshawa Zoo also has a nice area for having picnics.
