About | Gairloch Garden is a perfect spot for relaxing on a sunny day. It was initially part of farmland of 400 hectares. In 1922 Toronto civilian engineer Colonel William Mackendrick bought 11.4 acres of this property. Colonel Mackendrick died in 1957, and James A. Gairdner, an investor dealer, based in Oakville, bought his property in 1960 and named the Gairloch estate. Gairloch Garden features beautiful flowers and streams, water fountains, and a pedestrian bridge. You can also see the tropical flowers, which are hard to find in Canada. It is a place to enjoy the incredibly diverse weather patterns across Canada. So come on a virtual tour to your favourite park and take a walk. |
