About	The Nanaimo Museum is a historical octagon-shaped blockhouse in Nanaimo. The society operates the Museum of Nanaimo and the Bastion to involve the society and tourists in worthwhile cultural heritage experiences. The museum has always given a positive and accessible experience for visitors at the forefront of operations. The Nanaimo Museum enhances the learning environment where the public can experience a link between the past, present and future. The 1st floor of the museum gives historical information on the trade industry of Nanaimo, and the 2nd floor holds information and exhibits on the guns of NanaimoThe museum also hosts a daily cannon firing at noon during the summer months.
