| About | Irving House is the oldest intact house in the lower mainland. The house built in 1865 for riverboat captain William Irving is interpreted to the late Victorian/early Edwardian era. It was built with 14 furnished rooms in the original colonial style at this former home of Captain William Irving. The exterior of the house has also been repaired and repainted to match the original ca1900 colour scheme. You will admire the ornate ceiling plasterwork, the glow of original wallpaper, and the elaborate fireplaces during your visit. Their written tours are available in English, French, Spanish, German, Bengali, Mandarin, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian and Albanian. |
