AboutBellevue House National Historic Site gives an excellent tour full of history and exciting stories in both official languages. The Historic House was the home to Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John Alexander Macdonald. Bellevue House is notable for the non-symmetrical Italian Villa style of its architecture. It is ideal for learning about how Canada was formed and how settlers first lived here in North America in the Olden days. The site consists of a museum and the original property where you can visit the entire house and its beautiful garden. You can enjoy the guided tour with a costumed servant to explore heirloom and ornamental gardens. Bellevue House National Historic Site offers free admission for youngsters.
