| About | Brunel Lift Locks is a historic location on the Muskoka River. It connects Huntsville with Mary Lake. The operation of the locks requires enormous manual effort to let marine vessels navigate waters. The staff member on duty was always extremely friendly and taught visitors a lot about the lock. A pretty little park and fall over the dam are beside the lock. Picnic benches, Muskoka chairs, portable toilet, geocache, free parking are available. You can also walk across the gates. It is one of the last manual locks left in Canada. |
