About | Fredericton City Hall provides over 60 programs and services to its citizens. This three-storey structure was designed by architects McKean and Fairweather and built by H. With B. Crosby and O. M. Campbell around 1875 and 1876. It is in Downtown Fredericton, opposite Phoenix Square. It is the oldest municipal hall in Atlantic Canada still used for civic administration. Guided by various long-term financial plans and master plans, Mayor and City Council set policy and direction. At the same time, City staff carry out the day-to-day work of running the municipality. |
