| About | The Alberta Legislature is Edmonton's famous meeting place of the Legislative Assembly. The building's friendly and knowledgeable Tour Guides are always happy to welcome you to the building and explain Alberta's legislative process. Guided tours are always free. They have excellent insight into the history of the building and various tidbits of Alberta politics. The building itself features great paintings, portraits, decor, and history. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful grounds and the fantastic Visitor Centre just north of the Legislature. The grounds are well maintained, and in the summer, they go above and beyond to host activities such as Family Day and Canada Day celebrations. The Visitor Centre is home to the Borealis Gallery, Agora Interpretive Centre, Pehonan Theatre, and Capital Gifts shop.
