About	William Hawrelak Park was initially known as Mayfair Park. It covers a 68-hectare park in the river valley featuring a 5-hectare lake and open meadows. The park has picnic areas, wheelchair-accessible washrooms, playground areas and fountains. Hawrelak Park is an excellent place for outdoor skating and a beautiful place to watch the sunset. The park handles several significant festivals and events throughout the year. The park allows access to numerous hiking trails of varying difficulty. The paths are very friendly to walk, and users can see lots of geese hang around the area. The ice castles and ice rink can be used in winter, which is usually well maintained. The Park is also used for several concerts, festivals and events. William Hawrelak Park offers free entry and has lots of parking space.
