About	Paroisse Sainte-Rose-de-Lima is one of the famous churches in Laval. The church was established to serve the rapid-growing parish community. By 1740, the creation of the parish of Ste-Rose was authorized. By 1746, the church's construction was started by a riverside site, eight kilometres east of the present temple. Between 1769 & 1780, a conflict between the parishioners and Bishop resulted in worship interruption. After disputes were over, peace returned, and the second church was erected in the bay area. By 1788, the parish's expansion required the priest to start the construction of the current church. After years of service, by 1974, the church was recognized as "Cultural Property." Paroisse Sainte-Rose-de-Lima has been serving the community for over two centuries and is an iconic architecture achievement.
