About	Smokin' Okies is unique from other barbecue restaurants because it cooks in a traditional style, using wood only. Others use gas or electricity as their main source of heat. Mercaptin, which is the product added to natural gas so it can be detected, alters the taste of the food. Each of their meats is carefully trimmed and then slow-cooked over wood resulting in very tender meat with a smoked flavour. All of their recipes are made with the same devotion and care used in methods and techniques handed down from generation to generation. Smokin' Okies BBQ's offers both full-service catering packages, as well as bulk catering for pick-up or delivery.
