About	Dr. John Yaxley earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland and completed his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He obtained post-fellowship specialist training in the Bristol Urology Institute. He is a professional and accomplished surgeon and conducted thousands of urological surgical operations. Dr. John is one of the first surgeons to use robotic surgery techniques for prostate removal in Queensland. He specialises in the surgical management of prostate and bladder cancer. He has performed over 2000 procedures for radical prostatectomy surgery, including more than 400 robotic surgery operations. Dr. John is also one of Australia’s most experienced urological surgeons performing brachytherapy procedures for prostate cancer, having performed over 1000 brachytherapy procedures. He is a co-investigator in the randomised open versus robotic radical prostatectomy trial at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
