About	Geelong Botanic Gardens was founded in 1985. The garden features a dramatic entrance with Queensland Bottle Trees, combining architectural plants with modern garden sculptures. It is a non-profit organization with over 300 members benefiting from the network of activities, including botanical art, tours and functions. Members can volunteer their time or skills to support Friends or to do voluntary work in the Gardens. All members receive discounts at the nursery and the activities. Friends of Geelong Botanic Garden support a variety of services and events inside and outside the Gardens. Members benefit include priority details on seminars, tours, lectures and other activities, regular updates and discounts for members.
