Initially, this was the place for safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas. It is home to 100 koalas, it is recognised as the world's first and largest koala sanctuary. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is an 18-hectare Koala Sanctuary. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is one of the largest Koala sanctuaries in the world. The visitors are permitted to touch and hold the koalas for 30 minutes, and they can also feed the kangaroos. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is dedicated to increasing the positive environmental and social impacts. It is also committed to research and discovering new information.
