| About | National Motor Racing Museum was opened in 1988. It is situated next to the Mount Panorama racing circuit. The museum honours Australian motorsports history, celebrities and achievements. The museum's goal is to preserve and archive material regarding the history of Australian motor racing and increase the visibility and value of motor racing in Australia. It covers the history of pace, wind, drag, racing, open wheeler, sports car, and touring cars. The museum also shows the Drivers' stories and incidents through original medals, racing outfits, leather, racing footage, and photographs. Visitors can take part in one of the ever-changing exhibits and experience the fantastic immersive room that gives visitors a feel of the speed, sound and excitement of racing at Mount Panorama. |
