| About | Fingal Head Light is an operating lighthouse located at Fingal Head, New South Wales, Australia. It was established on 19 February 1872. It is th wooden pole structure of approximately 30 feet in height and holds a fixed kerosene wick burner. It is capped by an oversailing bluestone platform at 12 feet above ground levels, supported by shaped bluestone corbels. James Barnet designed this museum. The circular column is made from bricks and cement rendered from the outside. The light can be accessed by the road just south of the Tweed River from the Pacific Highway. Parking is available, and there is also a public beach and a picnic area just north of the lighthouse. |
