About	Greenmount Homestead is one of Mackay's most famous historic attractions designed by William Sykes. The homestead comprises an early 20th century Queenslander house, heritage gardens, and several outbuildings. It is a single-storeyed timber building that houses original furniture, fittings and artefacts which belonged to the Cook family. The homestead itself is a 1915 Queenslander homestead, which contains a vast collection of historical items.
